About Captain Scott Crawford

Captain Scott Crawford, is a former Active Duty Air Force and Air National Guard member with over 20 years of experience operating vessels and teaching SCUBA Diving.  Scott is an Instructor Trainer with Scuba Schools International (SSI), with two decades of experience from dive charters to parasail boats.

 Captain Crawford's experience includes:

  • USCG Master Near Coastal 100 gross ton
  • Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Instructor
  • Divers Alert Network (DAN) Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) Instructor
  • Dive Safety Officer for Scubanauts International

About Sean Carroll

While on active duty in the US Army, Sean and his oldest daughter received their NAUI Open Water certification in July of 2012. During his first pool session, when he took his first breath on SCUBA, Sean knew he was hooked. He then spent every available weekend diving in the quarries located in North Carolina and Virginia. By December of 2012 Sean had earned his NAUI Nitrox and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications. When retiring after 21 years of faithful service to the country, Sean decided that he wanted to teach scuba. He attained his Scuba Schools International Open Water Instructor Certification in May of 2014. Since starting at Rock Bottom Divers in June of 2014, Sean has increased his teaching certifications. Through Scuba Schools International he is certified to teach, Open Water Diver, 12 different Specialties including Nitrox, Specialty Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Dive Guide, Divemaster, Dive Control Specialist and Classified Diver/Buddy Level I-IV. Through Diver’s Alert Network he can teach First Aid, CPR, AED and Oxygen Provider. Through Technical Diving International he can teach Intro to Tech and Advance Nitrox
